Our research program is aimed to contribute to clinical research efforts within the Surgery Department at Kern Medical. Research will be focused on surgical topics that support and promote high quality outcomes in research designed to enhance medical knowledge in surgery. Our program also aims to improve clinical practice knowledge and provide research assistants with invaluable exposure and shadowing opportunities in the following fields: Orthopedic Surgery, Urological Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Spine Surgery, Breast Surgery, Neurosurgery, Trauma and Acute Critical Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Podiatry, Hand, Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaryngology, Gynecological Surgery, Oncology, Robotic and Minimally Invasive Surgery, and General Surgery.
