Program Overview
The program has implemented a new Block schedule for rotations beginning
July 1, 2020. Our department leadership understands that resident wellness,
simulation, and the educational needs will be realized with the new changes
starting this academic year. It would also allow for earlier exposure
to OR and other sub-specialty opportunities. The primary teaching site
for our Residents is Kern Medical in Bakersfield, CA. Residents also rotate
through other affiliated medical institutions: Mercy, Adventist, Mission
Hospital, gaining considerable experience within their gynecologic rotations.
