About Dr. Jones
Dr. Amber Jones is a Board Certified General, Trauma, and Critical Care Surgeon at Kern Medical.
Dr. Jones received her undergraduate degree in biology from the John Wesley Honors College at Indiana Wesleyan University. She graduated from Touro University earning her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from the College of Medicine and Masters of Public Health from Touro University, College of Public Health.
Dr. Jones completed her General Surgery Residency at Kern Medical Center Department of Surgery. She then completed a Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at the University of Utah Healthcare.
Dr. Jones brings many years of experience in Critical Care Surgery and Trauma. She is Assistant Clinical Professor of Trauma, Acute Care Surgery, and Surgical Critical Care for Touro University, Western University, Ross University, and Pacific Northwest University.
At Kern Medical, Dr. Jones is the Program Director for the Surgery Department, Director of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit and performs Trauma and Acute Care operations in both pediatric and adult patients. She also serves as the Fourth Year Medical Student Clerkship Director and trains and instructs medical students as they complete their rotations at the hospital.
Outside the hospital, Dr. Jones has an amazing family including a wonderful husband and three fantastic children. Her family enjoys Kern's proximity to snowboarding in the mountains as well as trips to the beach.
