About Dr. Berjis
Dr. Berjis is a board-certified specialist in thoracic surgery with fellowship training in minimally-invasive thoracic surgery and thoracic oncology.
Dr. Berjis received his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles. He then completed his medical training at Saint Louis University School of Medicine in Missouri. He obtained his Master's Degree in Academic Medicine from the Keck School of Medicine of USC.
Dr. Berjis was recruited back to Kern Medical in 2012. He currently serves as the Vice Chair of Surgery and as the Director of Thoracic Surgery. In addition to his clinical duties, he also serves as the Director of Medical Education and the Designated Institutional Official, overseeing both undergraduate and graduate medical education at Kern Medical. Finally, Dr. Berjis serves as the Secretary of the Board of Governors of the Kern County Hospital Authority.
