About Dr. Garcia

Dr. Antonio Garcia is a physician in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Kern Medical. He is also the OB/GYN Vice Chair, Operations.

Dr. Garcia received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Loyola Marymount University and his Medical Doctorate Degree from the University of California, San Diego. He went on to complete his OB/GYN Internship and Residency Program at Kern Medical. He worked first as a Clinic Physician before serving as Assistant Medical Director at Planned Parenthood of Central California prior to working at Kern Medical in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Lopez has also served as a Consultant for the Maternal-Child Outreach Program with Clinica Sierra Vista, and has an individual private practice. Additionally, he serves as the Secretary of Faculty Association for Resident Education and the Chief Financial Officer for Columbus Medical Group.

Dr. Garcia is a member of the American Medical Association, the California Medical Association, American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, California Hispanic American Medical Association, Kern County Medical Society, Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, Association of Professors in Gynecology and Obstetrics, Lumetra, and AAMC, GEA-RIME. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Diplomate of both the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the National Board of Medical Examiners.
