Donald Burt, MD, FACC is a Board-Certified Otolaryngologist at Kern Medical.

Dr. Burt is a highly experienced and dedicated physician specializing in otolaryngology, with extensive expertise in head and neck surgery. He holds board certification from the American Board of Otolaryngology and has been a licensed physician and surgeon in California since 1984. Dr. Burt completed his medical education at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara in Mexico, followed by advanced surgical training in general surgery and head and neck surgery at Loma Linda University Medical Center. His career has been marked by a broad range of leadership roles and clinical experiences, including his tenure as the CEO and President of The Family-Centered Ear, Nose, and Throat Group from 1990 to 2019. His contributions to the field of otolaryngology are also reflected in his published research on topics such as endoscopic gastrostomy in head and neck surgery and airway management in acute epiglottitis.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Burt is a dedicated community leader, with extensive involvement in the Boy Scouts of America, where he has earned multiple awards. He also serves as the Medical Director and Founder of CPRFirst LLC, providing CPR, first aid, and wilderness first aid training. Dr. Burt’s commitment to both his patients and community exemplifies his compassionate, service-oriented approach to medicine and life.
