About Dr. Heer
Dr. Jagdipak Heer, MD is a physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Kern Medical.
Dr. Heer received his Doctor of Medicine from St. Louis University School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine internship at Valley Medical Center and his Emergency Medicine residency at Kern Medical. He is board-certified through the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
In addition to working as an associate faculty member at Kern Medical, he is also the Director of Ultrasound and Director of Operations. Additionally, he is a Health Sciences Associate Clinical Professor at UCLA. He has experience working as an attending Emergency Physician at San Joaquin Hospital, Kaweah Delta Healthcare District Hospital, Mercy Hospitals and Kaiser Permanente.
Dr. Heer is on several Kern Medical committees including Difficult Airway Committee, Department Peer Review Process, ER Re-Design Committee, Interdisciplinary Practice Committee, Bylaws Committee, and is on the Board of Governors. He is the Co-Chairman on the Utilization Review Committee, and is Chairman of the Interdisciplinary Practice Committee. He is also the Quality Control Manager. He is a Fellow with the American Academy of Emergency Medicine and a member of the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine, SAEM Ultrasound Interest Group, Canadian Emergency Ultrasound Society, and Council of Emergency Medicine Residency Directors. He is a reviewer for Western Journal of Emergency Medicine. He mentors Emergency Medicine Program Residents, provides Bedside Teaching for EM Residents and medical students, teaches and evaluates all rotators, and participates yearly in Mock Oral Boards of EM residents.
