Khoa A. Mai, MD is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist and Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at Kern Medical.

Dr. Mai is a highly skilled Psychiatrist specializing in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He completed his Doctor of Medicine degree at Ross University School of Medicine, after earning a Bachelor of Science in Cell and Developmental Biology from the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Mai completed his residency training in the Department of Psychiatry at Kern Medical and went on to serves as a Physician Fellow in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program.

Dr. Mai is fluent in Vietnamese, a skill he has utilized in medical settings to bridge language gaps, having worked as a medical interpreter both during his time at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center and at Language Line Solutions. With his comprehensive training, commitment to patient care, and active participation in both academic and extracurricular initiatives, Dr. Mai exemplifies the qualities of a well-rounded and compassionate physician dedicated to advancing the field of psychiatry, particularly in the area of child and adolescent mental health.
