About Dr. Dixon
Dr. Dixon is a Pediatrics physician at Kern Medical. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at the University of California, Los Angeles and went on to receive her Masters in Public Health from Drexel University in Philadelphia. She worked as a third grade teacher at the Long Beach Unified School district and then went on to work as a Health Educator at the People’s Emergency Center in Pennsylvania where she provided health education services to homeless women and children living in the shelters. When she moved to Los Angeles, she worked as a Health Educator at the Charles Drew University School of Medicine where she was responsible for providing educational materials and lectures regarding healthier dietary habits and exercise and the benefits these provided in lowering blood pressure. She then came to work at Kern Medical. In her free-time, Dr. Dixon has a passion for travel.
