About Dr. Khan
Dr. Nasser ud-Din Khan, MD, FACC is a clinical and interventional cardiologist at Kern Medical. He specializes in cardiovascular disease including performing and interpreting Echocardiography, TEE, Coronary CT Angiograms and Diagnostic Catheterizations. He actively participates in research and teaching.
Dr. Khan was born in India and attended University and Medical School in Pakistan. He went on to complete his rotatory internship at Services Hospital in Lahore and worked as a Medical Officer at Aga Khan Hospital in Karachi and Khan’s Clinic in Islamabad. Dr. Khan moved to New York where he completed his PGY-1 in Psychiatry at SUNY, and stayed for his Residency. This is where he also completed his Fellowship in Cardiology before moving to University of Connecticut Hartford Hospital to complete his Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology.
Dr. Khan became an Assistant Professor of Medicine at SUNY, and then the Director of Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at VA Medical Center. He then took the role as Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCLA. He moved to Bakersfield and began working for Comprehensive Cardiovascular Medical Group.
Dr. Khan holds licensure with the Medical Board of California, the DEA Office of Diversion Control, and Californian Department of Public Health. He is also licensed to practice in New York and Utah. He is certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine. He is affiliated with numerous hospitals in the San Joaquin Valley including Bakersfield Memorial Hospital, Bakersfield Heart Hospital, Mercy Hospital, San Joaquin Community Hospital, and Tehachapi Valley Healthcare District. He is a member of the Fellowship of American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association, and American Medical Council.
