Nicholas Kotsyubko, MD, is a Psychiatrist at Kern Medical.
Dr. Kotsyubko is a highly skilled and dedicated psychiatrist with a strong background in both clinical practice and leadership. Dr. Kotsyubko has demonstrated a commitment to patient care, education, and advocacy throughout his training. He completed his medical degree at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, after earning his Bachelor of Science in General Biology from the University of California, San Diego. He completed his residency training in the department of psychiatry here at Kern Medical and has stayed on to continue to serve our patients. In addition to his clinical and leadership roles, Dr. Kotsyubko has volunteered extensively in mental health and medical education initiatives, including his ongoing support for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Walks and his previous work at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, where he taught middle school students about biotechnology and DNA research.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Kotsyubko enjoys photography, hiking in national parks, and exploring new cuisines. A fluent speaker of English, Polish, Ukrainian, Spanish, and Russian, he brings a diverse cultural perspective to his work and interactions with patients. With a well-rounded approach to both professional and personal growth, Dr. Kotsyubko is poised to make a significant impact in the field of psychiatry, particularly in areas related to child and adolescent mental health, quality improvement, and medical education.
