Dr. Gonzalez's educational journey began with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiological Sciences from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2005. She then pursued her medical degree, completing the Charles R. Drew University/UCLA Medical Education Program in 2012. Dr. Gonzalez continued her training with a residency in Emergency Medicine at Kern Medical Center, successfully becoming board-certified in Emergency Medicine in 2019.Her commitment to delivering comprehensive care led her to further specialize in Primary Care Addiction Medicine, culminating in a fellowship at Ventura County Medical Center, which she completed in 2023.
Throughout her career, Dr. Gonzalez has been actively involved in various professional roles, including serving as the Intermediate Care Center Director and Whole Person Care Attending.
Notably, she has also played a pivotal role as the Correctional Medicine Responsible Physician for Kern County Detention Facilities since October 2018, contributing significantly to the healthcare of incarcerated individuals.
