About Dr. Garg

Dr. Shailesh Garg is a Board-Certified Trauma, Critical Care and General Surgeon at Kern Medical.

Dr. Garg attended Bombay Institute of Management Studies, in Mumbai India and graduated with Diploma in Business Management. He then attended Terna Medical College and graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.

Dr. Garg was a General Surgery Resident at Northwell Hospital in Manhasset, New York where he was named intern of the year. Dr. Garg also completed a Trauma Fellowship and a Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at Jackson Memorial Hospital – Ryder Trauma Center in Miami, Florida.

Dr. Garg brings many years of extensive surgical experience in very complex cases, ER thoracotomies, and other complex injuries besides managing Trauma, Surgical, Medical, & Transplant ICU. He is proficient in all types of surgical cases including thoracotomy, exploratory laparotomy, traumatic vascular injuries, complex and difficult tracheostomies in bariatric people, laparoscopic hernia, colon, gallbladders, and appendectomy.

At Kern Medical, Dr. Garg performs Trauma, General and Critical Care operations in both pediatric and adult patients.
