What: Kern Medical will present at the 20th Anniversary CALNOC (Collaborative Alliance for Nursing Outcomes) Conference in late October. The hospital will focus on the prevention of Catheter-Associated Urinary Tract Infections (CAUTI), the most frequently occurring healthcare-associated infection. With a robust team of care providers, nurse-driven protocols and rapid process improvement techniques, Kern Medical decreased CAUTI rates from 23.4 per 1,000 patient days to 2.5 per 1,000 patient days from 2010 to the first half of 2016.
