Local Non-Profit partners with Special Olympics to help athletes achieve their dreams to compete

Local non-profit Athlete’s Advantage Academy (A3) teams up with Special Olympics Southern California, Kern County Region to provide a wellness program for local athletes eligible to compete in the Special Olympics.
The 12-week program begins Thursday December 6th, at A3’s headquarters and will provide athletes and their families guidance and support as they pursue their dreams of competition.
The program will give participants a better understanding of diet, nutrition, wellness and the keys to leading a healthy lifestyle. The weekly program will run through February with classes every Wednesday night at 5:30 PM. This program is free for all participants.
Kern Medical is dedicated to the health and wellness of all residents in Kern County and is a proud partner of A3.
