Kern Medical partners with the Kern High School District to bring the national “Stop the Bleed” program to local high school athletics staff.
“Stop the Bleed” is a hands on, hour long training that provides attendees with the knowledge needed to give lifesaving, on-the-scene, first aid until help arrives.
Each attending high school will be given “Stop the Bleed” kits that include a tourniquet, gauze, latex gloves, scissors and more.
“This is a great opportunity to help inform our high school athletics personnel about the fundamentals of first aid. These skills can be used on the field, during practice or even at home.” Says Ben Anderson, Associate Administrator, Kern Medical.
