and sophisticated techniques, we can quickly, accurately, and safely utilize
these modern diagnostic tools. You are in caring hands, from treatment
for a simple fracture to the management of the most challenging medical
conditions.
We offer modern mammography techniques and equipment related to breast
health and our bone density measuring tools. Many relevant services can
be performed in conjunction with each other. With our ultrasound services,
we can confirm pregnancies and chart fetal development, providing you

Here's a detailed look at some of the imaging services we offer:
-
Diagnostic Radiology – Kern Medical employs the latest in digital technology. Our radiographic
and fluoroscopy units provide quick, safe examinations for a range of
conditions.
-
Mammography – We are accredited by the American College of Radiology. We offer a full
range of care, including screening and diagnostic mammogram/breast ultrasound,
and stereotactic biopsies.
-
CT Scans (Computerized Tomography) – Our two CT units provide the latest in technology and capabilities to examine
the brain, spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis and extremities. They’re
conveniently located to accommodate our outpatients as well as those receiving
emergency care. Kern Medical also offers CT-guided interventional exam
capability, which includes biopsy, drainages, and tube placement performed
by specialized interventional radiologists.
-
MRI Scans (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) – Our magnetic resonance imaging testing provides imaging of organs and
structures using technology that enhances information not available in
X-rays, ultrasound, or CT scans. MRI is used to assess the structures
of the brain, spine, abdomen, pelvis, and musculoskeletal system.
-
Ultrasound – Ultrasound produces images through sound waves. It can be used to gather
important information in such areas as fetal and internal organ structures.
-
Nuclear Medicine – Nuclear medicine is used to diagnose and treat diseases including those
involving the brain, bladder, kidneys, thyroid, liver, lungs and bones.
The images are obtained by introducing a small amount of radioactive material
into the patient. It gives detailed information that enables early detection
of abnormalities.
